title 50:1 Unto the end, a psalm of David, — —
title 50:2 When Nathan the prophet came to him after he had sinned with Bethsabee. — —
1 50:3 Have mercy on me, O God, according to thy great mercy. And according to the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my iniquity. Dem Vorsänger. Ein Psalm von David, als der Prophet Nathan zu ihm kam, nachdem er zu Bathseba eingegangen war. Sei mir gnädig, o Gott, nach deiner Güte: nach der Größe deiner Erbarmungen tilge meine Übertretungen! To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came unto him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba. Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
2 50:4 Wash me yet more from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. Wasche mich völlig von meiner Ungerechtigkeit, und reinige mich von meiner Sünde! Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
3 50:5 For I know my iniquity, and my sin is always before me. Denn ich kenne meine Übertretungen, und meine Sünde ist beständig vor mir. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin [is] ever before me.
4 50:6 To thee only have I sinned, and have done evil before thee: that thou mayst be justified in thy words and mayst overcome when thou art judged. Gegen dich, gegen dich allein habe ich gesündigt, und ich habe getan, was böse ist in deinen Augen; damit du gerechtfertigt werdest, wenn du redest, rein erfunden, wenn du richtest. Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done [this] evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, [and] be clear when thou judgest.
5 50:7 For behold I was conceived in iniquities; and in sins did my mother conceive me. Siehe, in Ungerechtigkeit bin ich geboren, und in Sünde hat mich empfangen meine Mutter. Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
6 50:8 For behold thou hast loved truth: the uncertain and hidden things of thy wisdom thou hast made manifest to me. Siehe, du hast Lust an der Wahrheit im Innern, und im Verborgenen wirst du mich Weisheit kennen lehren. Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden [part] thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
7 50:9 Thou shalt sprinkle me with hyssop, and I shall be cleansed: thou shalt wash me, and I shall be made whiter than snow. Entsündige mich mit Ysop, und ich werde rein sein; wasche mich, und ich werde weißer sein als Schnee. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8 50:10 To my hearing thou shalt give joy and gladness: and the bones that have been humbled shall rejoice. Laß mich Fröhlichkeit und Freude hören, so werden die Gebeine frohlocken, die du zerschlagen hast. Make me to hear joy and gladness; [that] the bones [which] thou hast broken may rejoice.
9 50:11 Turn away thy face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. Verbirg dein Angesicht vor meinen Sünden, und tilge alle meine Ungerechtigkeiten! Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
10 50:12 Create a clean heart in me, O God: and renew a right spirit within my bowels. Schaffe mir, Gott, ein reines Herz, und erneuere in meinem Innern einen festen Geist! Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
11 50:13 Cast me not away from thy face; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Verwirf mich nicht von deinem Angesicht, und den Geist deiner Heiligkeit nimm nicht von mir! Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
12 50:14 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, and strengthen me with a perfect spirit. Laß mir wiederkehren die Freude deines Heils, und mit einem willigen Geiste stütze mich! Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me [with thy] free spirit.
13 50:15 I will teach the unjust thy ways: and the wicked shall be converted to thee. Lehren will ich die Übertreter deine Wege, und die Sünder werden zu dir umkehren. [Then] will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.
14 50:16 Deliver me from blood, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall extol thy justice. Errette mich von Blutschuld, Gott, du Gott meiner Rettung, so wird meine Zunge jubelnd preisen deine Gerechtigkeit. Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: [and] my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.
15 50:17 O Lord, thou wilt open my lips: and my mouth shall declare thy praise. Herr, tue meine Lippen auf, und mein Mund wird dein Lob verkünden. O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.
16 50:18 For if thou hadst desired sacrifice, I would indeed have given it: with burnt offerings thou wilt not be delighted. Denn du hast keine Lust an Schlachtopfern, sonst gäbe ich sie; an Brandopfern hast du kein Wohlgefallen. For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give [it]: thou delightest not in burnt offering.
17 50:19 A sacrifice to God is an afflicted spirit: a contrite and humbled heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. Die Opfer Gottes sind ein zerbrochener Geist; ein zerbrochenes und zerschlagenes Herz wirst du, Gott, nicht verachten. The sacrifices of God [are] a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
18 50:20 Deal favourably, O Lord, in thy good will with Sion; that the walls of Jerusalem may be built up. Tue Zion Gutes in deiner Gunst, baue die Mauern Jerusalems! Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem.
19 50:21 Then shalt thou accept the sacrifice of justice, oblations and whole burnt offerings: then shall they lay calves upon thy altar. Dann wirst du Lust haben an Opfern der Gerechtigkeit, an Brandopfern und Ganzopfern; dann wird man Farren opfern auf deinem Altar. Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.
