vCNT
So then Pilatos took and whipped Yahshua.
And the soldiers having braided a crown out of thorns placed it upon His head, and with a purple cloth they cloaked Him.
And they came to Him and said "Hail! King of the Judaeans!", and had given Him slaps on the face.
And Pilatos went outside again and says to them: "Behold, I bring Him outside to you, that you may know that I find not any guilt in Him!"
Then Yahshua came outside, wearing the crown of thorn and the purple cloth. And he says to them: "Behold the man!"
Therefore when the high priests and the deputies saw Him they cried out, saying "Crucify Him!" Pilatos says to them: "You take and crucify Him. For I do not find guilt in Him!"
The Judaeans replied to him: "We have a law and according to the law He is liable to die, because He has made Himself a Son of Yahweh."
Then when Pilatos heard this word, still more he feared,
and entered into the Praetorium again and says to Yahshua: "From where are You?" But Yahshua gave him no reply.
Therefore Pilatos says to Him: "You do not speak to me? Do You not know that I have authority to release You and I have authority to crucify You?"
Yahshua replied to him: "You do not have any authority over Me if it was not given to you from above. For this reason he who delivered Me to you has greater fault."
From this point Pilatos sought to release Him. But the Judaeans cried out, saying "If you should release this man, you are no friend of Caesar! Anyone making Himself king speaks in opposition to Caesar!"
Therefore Pilatos hearing these words led Yahshua outside and sat upon a step in a place called "Stonepaved", but in Hebrew "Gabbatha".
Now it was the preparation day of the Passover; it was about the sixth hour. And he says to the Judaeans: "Behold, your king!"
Then they cried out "Kill! Kill! Crucify Him!" Pilatos says to them: "Shall I crucify your king?" The high priests replied: "We have no king except Caesar!"
So then he handed Him over to them that He would be crucified. Therefore they took Yahshua,
and bearing the cross for Him, He went out to what is called "Place of the Skull", which is called in Hebrew "Golgotha",
where they crucified Him, and with Him two others on the left and right, and Yahshua in the middle.
Then Pilatos wrote an inscription and set it upon the cross, and it was written: "Yahshua the Nazoraian, the King of the Judaeans".
Therefore many of the Judaeans read this inscription, because the place where they crucified Yahshua was near the city, and it was written in Hebrew in Roman, and in Greek.
Then the high priests of the Judaeans said to Pilatos: "Do not write 'King of the Judaeans', but that He said 'I am King of the Judaeans'!"
Pilatos replied: "That which is written, is written!"
Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Yahshua, took His garments and they made four parts, a part for each soldier, and the shirt. Now the shirt was seamless, woven altogether from the top.
Therefore they said to one another: "We shouldn't tear it, but we should cast lots for it, whose it shall be", that the writing would be fulfilled: "They divided My garments among themselves and cast lots for My clothing". So therefore the soldiers did these things.
Now there stood by the cross of Yahshua His mother and the sister of His mother, Maria the wife of Klopas and Maria the Magdalene.
Then Yahshua seeing the mother and that student which He loved standing near, He says to the mother: "Woman, behold your son!"
Then He says to the student: "Behold your mother!" And from that hour the student took her into his own affairs.
With this, Yahshua seeing that He had already finished all things, in order that the writing would be completed, He says: "I thirst!"
A vessel full of vinegar sat there. Therefore they brought to His mouth a sponge full of vinegar wrapped in hyssop.
Then when He received the vinegar Yahshua said "It is finished!" And turning the head He surrendered the Spirit.
Therefore the Judaeans, since it was the preparation day, that the bodies would not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a great day), asked Pilatos that they may break their legs and they may be taken away.
Therefore the soldiers came and they broke the legs of the first and of the other which they crucified with Him.
But coming to Yahshua, as they saw that He had already died, they did not break His legs,
but one of the soldiers pierced the ribs with his lance, and immediately there came out blood and water.
And he having seen it has testified, and truthful is his testimony, and he knows that he speaks truth, in order that you also may believe.
For these things happened in order that the writing would be fulfilled: "A bone of His shall not be broken".
And again another writing says "They shall look at He whom they have pierced".
Then after these things Ioseph from Harimathaia, being a student of Yahshua (but secretly on account of fear of the Judaeans), asked Pilatos that he may take the body of Yahshua, and Pilatos permitted it. Therefore he came and took His body.
Then Nikodemos also came (he having come at first to Him at night), bearing a mixture of ointment and aloe, about a hundred pounds.
Therefore they took the body of Yahshua and they bound it in linen cloths with the perfumes, just as it is a custom with the Judaeans to bury.
Now there was in the place where He was crucified a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one as yet was buried.
So there, on account of the preparation day of the Judaeans, because the tomb was near, they had laid Yahshua.
